4 Ways to Get Rid of Yellow Teeth

2. Use hydrogen peroxide
This is a chemical compound that can kill the bacteria in your mouth. Several whitening products contain hydrogen peroxide in high concentration, as it is a natural bleaching agent. You can use it in the form of mouthwash before you brush your teeth. However, ensure that you only take 1.5% or 3% of the solution, or else there might be side effects. Most stores provide hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 3%, which you can easily dilute to 1.5% by mixing equal parts of water and peroxide.

3. Brush and floss regularly
Brushing and flossing your teeth correctly and frequently is one of the most important ways to get rid of yellow teeth. By doing so, your teeth will stay white and have lesser plaque buildup and bacteria in the mouth. When you brush, the toothpaste gently cleans the stains on your teeth, while flossing removes particles stuck between the teeth, preventing plaque buildup. Ensure that you brush your teeth at least twice a day and after consuming drinks and foods that can turn your teeth yellow. However, try to avoid brushing immediately after having acidic drinks and foods, as doing so can make the acid brush away your enamel, eroding your teeth.

4. Use activated charcoal
Activated charcoal removes stains and pigments from your teeth due to its highly absorbent properties. It can also take care of bacteria and toxins in your mouth. Hence, this compound is common in whitening toothpaste. For your purpose, you can purchase capsules of activated charcoal. Just put the contents of one of these capsules on your toothbrush and gently brush your teeth in small circles for two minutes. Avoid brushing aggressively, as the product can be abrasive. You can also dab activated charcoal on your teeth and leave it there for a few minutes before washing off or mix it with some water and use it as a mouthwash. Rinse your mouth properly after using activated charcoal.
